Nowadays more and more people have realized smoking can do harm to people'shealth. However, some people still enjoy smoking. Why? Because some of them think it is a kind of fashion, some think it is of great fun and others, think that smoking can refresh themselves.
In fact, smoking is a bad habit. It can cause a lot of diseases. Meanwhile smoking is a waste of money. Besides, careless smokers may cause dangerous fires.
Smoking is harmful and it is not only bad for smokers themselves, but also bad for non-smokers.
Therefore, I hope all the smokers can give up smoking for themselves and also for the people around them.

It is said that there are about half of people in China are smoking.Many young boys and girls have the habit of smoking, though they are middle school students.
As we all know, smoking does great harm to human beings. More and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is. But they are never bored with it. Some people think it is a kind of fashion, some think it is of great fun and others think that smoking can refresh themselves.
Smoking causes many illnesses. A lot of people always cough because of smoking. The most serious illness caused by smoking is lung cancer. Meanwhile smoking is a waste of money. Besides, careless smokers may cause dangerous fires.

At weekends, private cars take families on joyful outings. Most of people living in the city like private cars very much. Private cars, like everything else, have more than one face. Private cars have also given rise to a series of problems. For example, the street are crowded with cars. Nice to hear from you again. This summer vacation, at the end of July, we winners of NEPCS went to a four-day summer camp held in Yantai. Some English teachers from China, The USA, England and Australia joined us. We had an English speech competition, watched wonderful performances given by the students in Yantai and visited some places of interest. Besides, we exchanged our English learning experience. All the time English was spoken. Thus our spoken English has greatly improved and I have made many new friends. We really had great fun in the camp.

This afternoon my school held an English-speaking contest in the multi-function classroom. The contest was named "Challenging the Future"I was present at the contest as an audience.
I learned a lot from their speech. They had different plans for the future. But as they challenged the future, they had something in common,that is, they all made full use of the present. The present is the base of the future.
After the contest, I knew I needed a plan for my future as well. I must grasp my present time to realize my plan. I won't idle away the valuable time any more. I'm determined to study hard and improve myself. I will prepare to challenge my future.
