　　Don't you just love ice-skating every winter? I am sure, that since winter is approaching, your skates are set to come out, just waiting to be used. One of the important ice-skating tips and techniques is that if you feel that you are losing your balance, then scissor (做剪式运动) your skates. Keep practicing this till you are confident about it.

　　Maintain Speed

　　Confident now? Great! Now the next step is to maintain your speed. While rolling in a straight line with one skate, with the other try sculling (滑浆), that is, keep pushing yourself backwards with an outwards stroke (滑动). Now bring the skate which you were using to scull, and then again, repeat the same process. Make sure that you put most of your weight on the skate which is moving straight and not the one with which you are sculling. Now, try the same thing using the other foot. Again keep doing this till you are confident enough.

　　Increase Your Speed Now

　　Once you are confident that you can scull with either foot, the next thing that you have to do is increase your speed. Try some of your own tricks now. Scull with either foot or with both at the same time.

　　Scull and Be Aware

　　While you keep one foot straight, keep sculling with the other. You can do that simultaneously (同时，一起) with both feet. Concentrate on what you are doing but don’t get so involved that you don’t see where you are going. If you are not watching your back, you might just bang against something or someone.

　　A dog found shot in the head and face with a pellet (小弹丸) gun, stuffed in a garbage bag and left to die is recovering from his injuries at an animal clinic in Texas. The bag containing the 3-year-old male mixed breed was discovered tied to a fence in Conroe, Texas, earlier this month. When local residents opened the bag, the dog appeared, took a few steps and fell.

　　Augustyn rushed the dog to an emergency animal clinic，where he was treated for many pellets to the face, eyes，mouth, neck and shoulders. The dog was stabilized, but according to Dr Ron Hendrick, a vet at the Animal Emergency Clinic of Conroe, pellets remain in both eyes and it's unclear whether the dog-nicknamed Buck-was left blind forever.

　　A Facebook page，Buck Needs Bucks for His Buckshot Injuries, was launched last week by Augustyn. It was created to help pay for the dog's medical bills. The page has attracted nearly 7,000 “likes” and, according to its creator, already more than enough donations to pay for his treatment.

　　“The last 24 hours has been overwhelming for me，”Augustyn wrote on the page. “I have gone from not knowing if I would have enough money to pay for Buck's emergency bill to having an unbelievable amount of money to provide the best possible care for Buck's recovery. I have thought long and hard about this today and how I should handle this. The conclusion is that I will open a separate bank account for Buck and all donations will be used for Buck's recovery and necessities.”With the help of Facebook, Buck's story quickly sparked international interest. “Buck is now walking，”Augustyn says.

If you choose to use that approach, gently rub the lemon juice into the stain, allow it to sit for about half an hour. Then clean as normal. You can also pour the lemon juice onto it and hang the shirt in the sun. The sun may help to get the stain out and the acid in the lemon juice helps.
