　　一、Consecutive Master’s Degree Programs (except Teaching Degrees)

　　If you apply for a master's degree program, we will review whether your professional qualifications fulfill the requirements for master's studies in your chosen program. An application must be submitted for consecutive master's degree programs, regardless of whether they are open-admission (no numerus clausus restrictions) or restricted-admission programs.

　　1. Online Application

　　The application for most master’s degree programs is done via the uni-assist e.V. application portal. This online portal opens on April 1 for applications for the winter semester, and on November 1 for the summer semester.

　　Note: The application portal will open this year on April 3, 2017.

　　Caution, exceptions!

　　The application for master’s degree programs that are offered jointly with other academic institutions, as well as for post-graduate master’s degree programs (continuing education), is typically done directly with the department.

　　Your application materials will be reviewed preliminarily by uni-assist e.V. and then forwarded for the next stages – the application review and the admissions processes – to the relevant Examining Boards at the University of Potsdam. The University of Potsdam is responsible for conducting the admissions procedure.

　　Application for a later semester

　　If you have already been enrolled in the same or similar master's degree program at the University of Potsdam or another degree-granting institution, then you must first submit an application for recognition of achievements to the relevant Examining Boards. For assignment to a later semester, please apply informally to the relevant Examining Board. If you are placed in the first semester, then apply as described above through uni-assist e.V.

　　It is only possible to submit an application for restricted-admission master’s degree programs at the University of Potsdam within the subject-specific application deadlines.

　　The application deadlines below are mandatory. Your application must be received in the required form by the application deadline. The postmark is determinative.

　　After the deadline has passed, it is no longer possible to submit an application or to submit additional documentation.

　　2. Application Materials

　　When applying for the first semester, you must submit the following documents in addition to your online application:

　　A completed and signed admissions application

　　A simple copy of the German- or English-language degree certificate from your first degree (e.g., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Diplom, Magister). If you do not yet have this degree, then please submit documentation of the grades attained up to the point in time of the application (transcript of records), along with information regarding your current grade point average. If your transcript is in a language other than German or English, then a German or English translation certified by a sworn translator, along with a simple copy of your transcript.

　　A simple copy of diploma supplements, or other relevant documentation from your university, regarding all coursework completed for your first professional degree. If this coursework was completed at an institution of higher education other than the University of Potsdam, then information must be provided regarding the form, content and examination modalities of the performance evaluation process.

　　The documents listed under 1. and 2. above must be uploaded in the uni-assist e.V. application portal and also submitted by mail to uni-assist e.V. before the application deadline. All other documentation that must be submitted can be uploaded to the uni-assist e.V. portal

　　2.申请材料

　　申请第一学期的时候，必须连同线上申请提交以下文件：

　　(1)填写完整并签有名字的入学申请表;

　　(2)第一学位(文学士、理学士、文凭、文科硕士)单面复印件(语言需要是德语或英语)。如果那还没有拿到第一学位，请提交截至申请之时获得成绩的证明(成绩单)，提交当前平均成绩相关信息。如果成绩单的语言不是德语或英语，需要翻译成德语或英语。由宣誓的译员翻译。同时提交成绩单单面复印件;

　　(3)文凭补充单面复印件，或由大学开具的其他相关的文件。文件需要包括在第一学位学习期间完成的所有课程的信息。如果课程是在其他高等教育机构(而不是波茨坦大学)完成，必须提供与表现评估程序有关的形式、内容和考试形式方面的信息。

　　必须将(1)和(2)所列的文件上传到 uni-assist e.V.申请入口，同时将前述文件邮件给 uni-assist e.V.。必须在申请截止日期之前邮件。所有其他需要提交的文件也必须上传到 uni-assist e.V.。

　　二、Consecutive teaching-oriented Master’s Degree Programs

　　Currently there are no admission limits for teaching-oriented master’s degree programs (no Numerus Clausus). This means that enrollment is possible within certain time periods, after it has been determined that all admission requirements are met.

　　Continuing education master’s degree programs generally require an application directly with the desired subject or the institution offering the degree program. More specific information on the application and enrollment procedures can be requested from the department or subject.

　　If you have received an admission notification from the examination committee, and if you fulfill all enrollment requirements, you may enroll for a master’s degree program.

　　You may apply for enrollment

　　for the summer semester from February 15 until May 10

　　for the winter semester from August 15 until November 10.

　　Please note: If possible, we recommend that you enroll by the end of March (for the summer semester) or by the end of September (for the winter semester) in order to ensure that you may commence with your studies at the very beginning of the semester.

　　Proof of a first academic degree qualifying to enter a profession

　　for foreign university degrees: a certified copy of your university degree as well as a certified German, English, or French translation, if applicable. Please note: The certified copies handed in with your application remain with the application address. You will need a second officially certified copy of your university degree and a second translation for the enrollment.

　　a single, non-certified copy of your identification card or passport including your personal information; ; if a second citizenship is present, enclose a copy of a corresponding document

　　if applicable, the power of attorney with a single, non-certified copy of the plenipotentiary's personal identification document (identification card or passport)

　　if applicable, one non-certified copy of the certificate/proof of the name change

　　a CV in table format including your signature

　　a single, non-certified copy of your university entry qualification (high-school certificate qualifying for university admission)

　　a single, non-certified copy of your certificate of exmatriculation (deregistration) from any previously attended university or college in Germany, including information on the previous degree course/s as well as the number of semesters studied at the university in general and in the listed major/s in particular

　　Only for international prospective students: if necessary - a copy of successfully completed training in the German language (s

　　Proof of valid health insurance with a statutory health insurance provider for the upcoming semester

　　Only for prospective international students from non-European countries: a single, non-certified copy of your valid residence permit that does not exclude study at the University of Potsdam in the relevant subject or a single, non-certified copy of your valid student visa

　　if applicable: applications for part time study (Teilzeitstudium)

　　if applicable: when applying for advanced placement, please include the "application for placement in an advanced semester of study" after it has been processed by the examination committee

　　(11)只针对未来国际生：必要的话，提供完成德语语言课程的培训证明(复印件);

　　(12)有效的医疗保险证明(由法定保险公司开具，截至新学期)

　　(13)只针对非欧洲国家的未来国际生：居留证的单一的未经证明的复印件(不包括在波茨坦大学相关学科学习的居留时间)，或者学生签证的单一的未经证明的复印件;

　　(14)在职学习申请(适用的话);

　　(15)申请高级实习的时候，请提交高级学期实习申请表——前提是申请已被考试委员会受理。
