Our accommodation is specially designed with all students in mind. You can pick somewhere to suit your budget and your lifestyle.

No matter where you are, you're never far from transport links with regular buses between campus and the city centre.

Self-catered accommodation
If you choose self-catered accommodation, you can cook for yourself and your flatmates in a communal kitchen.
Postgraduates can only apply for self-catered accommodation.

Catered accommodation
If you're an undergraduate you can apply to stay in catered accommodation. Here, you'll be able to use Eat and Drink Credit to buy yourself meals from the huge range of eateries on campus.

Choosing your accommodation options
The number of options you have will vary based on your course, level of study and offer status.
When you apply, you will be selecting preferred room types, like en-suite, standard, shared, etc. rather than specific buildings.
We’ll do our best to place you in your preferred room type, but we cannot guarantee this.

Safe and secure
Bath is considered one of the safest cities in the world and our campus is safe too.
In 2015, the University was ranked first for good security in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey. We have also been accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers as a secure environment. If you live in our accommodation, you will often see our Security team on patrol.

Secure accommodation
You can only access your accommodation with your specially programmed library card and keys. This system helps to keep you and your belongings safe. There is also CCTV on campus, in public areas of accommodation and around the University.

Accommodation for mature students
If you are 21-years-old or over, you qualify as a mature student.
You will need to choose five room types when applying for accommodation.
We have three specially selected areas that you can apply for if you'd like to live with fellow mature students:
Marlborough Court (en-suite shower)
Eastwood (standard washbasin)
Osborne House (standard, standard large, en-suite shower, studio and studio large)
We cannot guarantee that all residents of these areas will be mature students.

If you are a UK or EU postgraduate you will need to choose five room types when applying for your accommodation. As an overseas postgraduate you will need to choose seven room types.

MA Contemporary European Studies, exchange and visiting students
If you are an MA Contemporary European Studies, exchange or visiting student, you will need to choose two room types when applying for accommodation.
You can choose between two city centre locations:
Pulteney Court
Thornbank Gardens

Pre-sessional English students
If you are on a 5-week summer pre-sessional English course, you can apply to live in Westwood on the University campus.
If you are on a 10-week course, you can choose to live in either Carpenter House or The Exchange, both in the city centre.
You will need to apply for your undergraduate or postgraduate accommodation separately.
The exception is if you are a postgraduate student choosing to stay at The Exchange. If you stay here for your pre-sessional English course, you will stay here for your postgraduate degree too.
英语预科学生

如果你是参与为期10周的课程，你可以选择住在Carpenter House 或者The Exchange，它们都在市中心
