什么是暑校？参加暑校有什么作用？
暑校又叫夏校，英文Summer school/program，是目前国内外流行的一种设置在正式学位课程之外的特色项目，学习内容主要以通识课程的授课为主。
相比交换生（Exchange student）、暑研（Summer research），暑校的存在就像授课型硕士那样，被人认为没什么含金量，学习的经历没太大实际作用。
不过从申请留学的角度来看，暑校作用还是比较明显的，主要表现在以下几点：
1）首先，申请国际暑校的过程，本身就像申请留学一样。
你需要调研海外高校暑校的课程特色、招生偏好、申请流程等问题，这对你自己申请正式留学学位是有帮助的，而且无形中给了你提前试错的机会。
暑校课程一般只有短短2-4周的学习周期，而且正常情况下都是在校园内面授。

申请暑校有哪些途径？申请流程如何？
通过本校国际交流部官网申请
关于暑校申请，前面学姐也提到了如果你本校有交换生资格，申请会更容易。
所以建议大家先去本校的国际交流部（或者海外留学部门等）官网查找相关公告，一般有合作的学校和项目都会第一时间公布在门户网站，直接按照本校的申请流程操作即可。
以北大为例，他们的“国际合作部-海外学习-出国交流-暑期学校”就会公布全球合作院校的暑校项目开放情况，像基本的项目官网、申请链接（本校网申/对方网申）、项目时间、申请资格、截止时间、咨询邮箱、申请注意事项等都会写得很清楚。
直接在本校官网查找信息、通过本校提交网申，好处是你不需要额外花时间搜集各种信息，提交的申请也会更快被审核，拿到offer概率也更大。
但同时也需要注意，本校提供的合作项目不一定是海外院校开放的所有项目，有些不针对你本科学校特别合作的课程是没法在本科官网查到的，你的选择空间会比较小。
因此就有了第二种申请方式——在海外大学官网，以国际学生的个人身份直接递交申请。

大部分海外大学官网都有summer school的申请列表，如果你在主页找不到，直接在搜索栏中输入“summer school/program”，点击搜索后就会跳转所有暑校相关的信息了，找到最新开放的暑校列表，进入查询相关课程设置、申请要求、截止时间和申请链接等。

第一步：查阅相关申请信息，确认申请资格
阅读计划信息和具体要求（课程列表可以在本科课程和中学课程中找到）；
确保满足香港大学暑期学院语言要求和课程资格。
第二步：准备相关申请材料，递交个人申请
在香港大学暑期学院-在线申请系统-注册并创建个人申请帐户（确认将立即发送到注册邮件地址）；
填写在线申请表并上传所有必需的证明文件；
通过万事达卡、维萨卡、银联卡、微信支付、香港支付宝、支付宝或转数快在线支付申请费（不退还）。
*只有截止日期前成功提交所有证明文件和申请费，申请才会被处理；
*一旦提交不得修改申请，如果想在提交后更改个人资料，联系官方；
*强烈建议申请人提交申请前，仔细检查详细信息，并保留提交记录。
