雅思口语考试的Part2, 相信对于大多数考生来说是一个噩梦，很多考生每次准备口语Part2时，都想依靠着预测进行一个大范围的撒网，以背答案为主。他们主观的认为，只要背好自己准备的小故事，到了考试的时候，如果很幸运抽到了自己准备过的话题，只要很流利地给考官“背出来”，分数自然就不会有问题。然而，考生们忘记了一个很重要的问题，小故事应该怎么编排?是很随意地根据抽到的题目，按照自己的想法，给出故事;还是根据Part2 cue card下面的‘you should say...’很有顺序地给出故事，这些都是考生们需要认真考虑的问题。若考生是按照第一种方法来准备故事的，却碰到认为‘you should say’是故事主要逻辑顺序的考官，那么考生就悲剧了，分数绝对不会非常满意。但若考生是按照第二种方法来准备故事的，却碰到认为‘you should say’不是特别重要，而有条理的逻辑才是回答重点的考官，同样考生的分数也不会太乐观。

相信大家都听过一个非常古老的故事“从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个小和尚和老和尚，他们在说什么呢，他们在说‘从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个小和尚和老和尚’”。虽然这个故事只有简简单单短短的几句话，但是我们不难从这个小故事中发现，它里面包括很充足的信息，比如说，“从前=时间，有座山=地点，庙里有个小和尚和老和尚=人物，他们在说‘从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个小和尚和老和尚=事件”。从中我们可以得出，一个完整的故事需要包含足够多的信息，要让读者(考官)很清楚的知道，你的故事发生的大概内容，其中包括故事发生的时间(when)，地点(where)，人物(who)，如果说出了这三点信息，不管碰到哪类考官，考生都可以很清楚地给出故事的前序。但考生们需注意一点，故事的前序并不是description的一个重点，这里是作为一个铺底作用，为了引出后面的主要信息，当然也是为考生发愁的‘two minutes description’作为一个‘磨时点’，因此考生们无需担忧时间不能到两分钟，不仅如此，还可以适当的增减故事的内容，让自己的描述变得更加吸引人。
除此之外，还有一些很重要的附加信息，那就是故事的事件(what)，故事的原因(why)和故事的一个结尾(how)。事件(what)在此是充当详细说明的作用，很清楚地告诉考官这是一个什么样的故事...
