又到了端午节。每当这个时候，我就想起端午节的粽子。
端午节前几天，妈妈就从市场上买来包粽子的粽叶、糯米、绿豆等，到端午节那天，就把它们拿出来，用水浸湿，洗干净，然后开始包粽子。她拿起一些粽叶，叠成开列一排，随后一层糯米、一层绿豆、一粒猪肉，最后加上一层糯米把绿豆和猪肉包在中间，再把叠好的粽叶，压紧，按平，折叠，最后用线捆住，就这样一个粽子在她们的手上包好了。
粽子包完后，她就把粽子放进锅里，加上合适的水，让它蒸煮。大约煮到两个小时吧，厨房里飘散出一股粽子的清香，深深地闻一口，沁透心脾。这时，馋嘴的我就迫不及待地让妈妈从锅里抓起一条粽子，不管它炙热烫手，就解开线团，送进嘴里，用牙齿咬一口，滚烫的粽子，有时弄得我牙齿根，舌头嘴上顿时起满了大大小小的泡泡，尽管这样我还是不肯吐出来，味道好极啦。
听大人们说，端午节这天有一个古老的故事。据史料记载，春秋时期楚国的大诗人屈原因仗义直言遭革职放逐。眼见国破家亡，百姓流离失所，屈原是有心报国而无力回天，愤然之下，于五月初五，在写下了绝笔作《怀沙》之后，抱石投汨罗江身死。传说屈原死后，百姓纷纷拥到汨罗江边去凭吊屈原。渔夫们划起船只，在江上来回打捞他的真身。有的还拿出食物丢进江里，说是让鱼龙虾蟹吃饱了，就不会去咬屈大夫的身体。因此，在以后每年的五月初五，就有了龙舟竞渡、吃粽子等的风俗，以此来纪念屈原。时过境迁，人事物非，可端午节一直流传至今，成了中华民族的传统节日和文化。
