There has been a heated discussion about these pictures recently in the newspaper. Simple as the pictures are , they do demonstrate certain thought-provoking social phenomenon.

科技的话题，实际上是映射热点问题：上海世博。
世博的主题“城市让生活更美好”，其中一个侧面就是城市与科技。
可以反映“科技”主题的图片有很多，如现代通讯、网络等。

I am writing this letter to you in order to give my views and opinions on the ban on the usage of plastic bags in our local areas. because I think the result of it fails a lot.
I know that there are many local residents in favour of the usage of plastic bags so that many businesses would still attract their regular customers by using them. However, in order to cope with the worsening problem, my suggestion is that a substitute of plastic bags shall be made and accepted by the customers. In addition, local authorities are supposed to make relative laws against such behavior.

一、词汇背了要学会活用
1.活用词汇
单词背了要会用，而且在不同语境中一些词汇的意思也不一样。举个例子：
例①：available可获得的
引申义：买到
在任何一家百货公司里都能买到电脑。
① You can buy computers in any department stores.
② Computers are available in any department stores.
形容词放在所修饰词的后边，起修饰作用使得整个句子变得高级。
例②：bend 弯腰
引申义：拟人化表达
柳条低垂进河里。
① Many willow trees' branches fall into the river.
② Many willow trees bend their branches into the river.
Bend的形象化表达，将柳条婀娜多姿的形态表现了出来。
例③：root根;生根
引申义：比喻化表达
这堂课我们永远难忘。
(1)We will never forget this lesson.
(2) The lesson will root in my mind forever.
点评该词的使用明确地说明这堂课在脑海里生根，让我们永远难忘，比 never forget意义更强烈。
把词汇用的好了，确实可以为文章整添亮点，所以，记单词的时候学会用真的是非常必要的。
2.句型要记牢
多练习和积累一些基础句型。
如，像最基本的主系表结构，就可以用到句子中。
句型：主语+系动词+表语
在考研作文中，该句型可用于描述人物或事物形象，也可用于指述社现状，或用于结尾段的建议措施等等。
例1. This hotpot will be delicious and nutritious.
这款火锅将会既美味又营养。
例2 .the “white pollution” is still on .
白色污染”仍在继续。
多练习，转换不同的句子表达形式，可以每个句型都记几个例句，便于记忆和理解。用到作文中就可以为作文增加亮点，让作文表达更高级。
