After her husband had gone to work, Mrs. Richards sent her children to school and went upstairs to her bedroom. 7月11日起，新西兰地区的短期紧缺清单将新增面包师等九类职业，具有新增职业背景或相关专业资质的人才在申请赴新西兰留学时，将更易受到签证官认可。
据新西兰留学网介绍，短期紧缺专业清单指的是目前整个新西兰或部分地区所急需的技能。符合该职业条件的人员可以申请工签，即免劳动力测试。新增加的职业名称有面包师、医药技工、电子设备技工、铸造机械师等九类。在国内从事过相关职业，有相关专业学历的从业者，在考虑进一步深造时新西兰可作为首选国家。
与其他英联邦国家相比，新西兰英语环境纯正、无需雅思成绩、没有年龄和学历要求、国际学生受当地重视、允许合法打工及家属陪读、学制灵活、毕业即可获得一年工作签证等，新政出来后可申请两次工签。此外，生活和学习费用低也是新西兰留学突出的优势之一。纽币对人民币的汇率维持在1∶5左右，留学新西兰的费用优势凸显，相对其他英联邦国家，新西兰留学的费用是最低的，大约12万～16万人民币/年，若打工可得5万～6万人民币/年。
