On-Campus Student Accommodation
Our campus residences offer city centre living in self-catering or catered accommodation mostly for postgraduate students with some for undergraduate students.
Most of the accommodation is in private single occupancy bedrooms with either single or double beds. Residences are on or close to our main campus and its many facilities, which include a large sports centre, restaurants and bars.
Catered accommodation is provided at our award-winning Vine Court. Opened in 2012 it has a student chill-out zone on the mezzanine, café and restaurant, as well as large communal courtyards complete with secure bike store. Specially trained Residential Advisers live in and are on-call out of office hours and at weekends. They are able to deal with any concerns about your accommodation and will be the first point of contact for any incidents or emergencies.

1.The catered accommodation
You can go catered at some our residences and it is something we really recommend, especially if you are just leaving home to come to the University.
Typically going catered adds around £40 per week to your rent and includes a choice of full English breakfast or continental buffet breakfast, fruit, soft drinks and a 3-course dinner.

Remember, your catered accommodation rent also includes bills, basic* contents insurance, fast broadband connection and a regular cleaning service to common areas.

2.self-catering accommodation
Our self-catering residences offer single-occupancy comfortable accommodation with either a single, 3/4 or double bed.
If you are renting a room the price includes utility bills, broadband, contents insurance and use of communal spaces.
Typically 4 to 6 residents share a kitchen and washing facilities where an en suite is not provided.
You will need to buy your food, so if you are on a tight budget or especially if you are just leaving home for the first time do check out our excellent catered option.
The catered option provides breakfast and 3-course dinner with a wide choice of dishes every day, prepared from quality ingredients by our professional chefs.

3.Summer Vacation Accommodation
Students who already live in University Accommodation can book into open halls over the summer vacation period. In some cases you may be able to stay in your current accommodation for a few days but it is still necessary to book.
Please note that students living in all 1st year Undergraduate halls will need to vacate their rooms no later than 17th June (10th June for Roscoe & Gladstone Hall) as per your contract and you will need to book your summer room extension from this date.
If you are planning to stay on over the summer months for open halls, for example if you are on a course placement, please book through Liverpool Life on your accommodation requests and we will do the rest.
Please note that places are limited so you are advised to book as soon as possible.

So here are the key points you need to know about applying for University accommodation as an undergraduate or postgraduate student. We strongly recommend that you apply as soon as you can because in previous years demand for places in University accommodation has always been high.
By visiting Liverpool Life, you can either apply for the full academic year "2017/18" if you plan to arrive in September 2017 - or if you are arriving before this date for example if you are taking a "Pre-sessional English" course - you will need to apply for the current academic year "2016/17" to cover your Pre-Sessional course and then apply for "2017/18" for your course starting in September.

You have chosen the University of Liverpool as your 1st choice and you have accepted an Unconditional Firm offer (UF) or a Conditional Firm offer (CF) andYou apply for your accommodation no later than 31st July.
We recommend that you apply as soon as you receive your invitation email from the University's admissions team and have been issued with your student ID number (this always begins in 20.........)

Although there is no formal guarantee, in previous years we have been able to offer either University or University-approved accommodation to the majority of students who have placed the University of Liverpool as their Insurance choice (CI) and we always try our best to assist students who come to the University through the clearing process with University-approved accommodation from trusted local providers in the private sector.

Once you have accepted your room offer - don't worry if this isn't exactly the room you wanted - using your accommodation portal you can nominate one choice of room type from our room waiting list. If your nominated room type then becomes available - you will be sent a new offer of accommodation.

Returning Undergraduates
If you are entering your second or third year's here at the University and would like to apply for accommodation please make sure that you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as there will be limited places throughout our residences and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with an offer of self-catered ensuite accommodation.
